Kokomo Private Island
Discover
Cradled by the Great Astrolabe Reef, Kokomo Private Island is Fiji’s most exclusive private island resort. The passion project of renowned Australian property developer, Lang Walker AO, Kokomo is a venture straight from the hearts of the Walker family, and brings to life Lang’s vision of an island paradise unlike any other. A paradise for explorers in search of unique experiences, a retreat for families and a haven for honeymooners, Kokomo fuses sustainable design with world class cuisine, unparalleled underwater adventures and rejuvenating spa therapies.
One of 333 Fijian islands, Kokomo is accessible via Nadi International Airport. After landing in Fiji, a member of Kokomo’s Guest Services team will whisk you away from the airport to the resort’s dedicated aviation hangar and luxury transfer lounge. It is here that your journey to paradise begins. Enjoy panoramic views of the Fijian Islands, as you transfer to the resort in the comfort and style of Kokomo’s Twin Otter seaplane or Airbus helicopter.
If the aerial views weren’t enough to take your breath away, the welcome at the resort most certainly will. Stepping onto the jetty, you will be greeted by Kokomo’s in-house choir, singing the traditional Bula Maleya welcome song. The warmth and genuine hospitality of the Kokomo team will be ever-present throughout your stay.

- Villas. Set across 140-acres, Kokomo’s 21 Sunrise & Sunset villas are dotted along the island’s two longest beaches. A refined and fresh take on pacific design, the 1-3 bedroom villas have been elegantly furnished with exposed timber beams, traditional Fijian nuances and vibrant Chris Kenyon artworks. Sliding doors separate the generous living area from the bedrooms, where indoor and outdoor rain showers and a deep soaking bathtub await. A haven for couples, honeymooners and small families, each villa features a private infinity pool, spacious sun deck and lush tropical gardens.
- Residences. For an unforgettable escape with family or friends, Kokomo’s five exclusive residences provide the perfect backdrop in which to celebrate life’s milestones. Ranging from 3-6 bedrooms, the sheer magnitude of space, while awe-inspiring, welcomes and envelopes guests. Featuring multiple living areas, a full-sized kitchen, butler’s pantry and outdoor terrace with private pool, each residence showcases captivating views of the island and its surrounds. Arrange for a private chef to cook for you in the comfort of your residence, or relax poolside with the culinary delights offered by in-villa dining. A dedicated butler and nanny complete the experience, making you feel at home in an instant.
Indulge
Since opening in March 2017, Kokomo has continued to set a new standard in Fijian cuisine, with island-grown and locally-sourced produce championed across the resort’s three restaurants; Beach Shack, Walker d’Plank and Kokocabana. Supported by a 5.5-acre (2.2-hectare) farm and fresh, locally-caught seafood, Kokomo’s chefs thoughtfully transform local produce into delicious meals, showcasing the best produce for each season.
- Beach Shack. Exposed timber beams, lofty ceilings and panoramic ocean views provide the perfect setting in which to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Located on west beach, next to the arrival jetty, Beach Shack is the beating heart of the resort, a place to meet for coffee in the morning, to linger over a long lunch, or to celebrate with friends and family over dinner. The perfect, all-day dining destination, Beach Shack offers three separate spaces, each with its own style and ambience.
- Walker d’Plank. Tucked within a sheltered cove, beyond the arrival jetty, Walker d’Plank brings Asian-style street food to life in Fiji. Walk down the plank, and you will find a casual restaurant and bar, positioned over the water, offering a unique setting in which to enjoy cocktails, lunch and dinner daily.
- Kokocabana. Designed with multigenerational families in mind, Kokocabana is situated on the main resort pool. This relaxed poolside restaurant and bar specialises in wood fired pizzas, burgers and homemade artisanal gelato. Enjoy a relaxed lunch by the pool, as your children race back and forth to the adjoining Kids and Teens Clubs.
- Destination dining. For a one-of-a-kind celebration, Kokomo’s chefs will prepare a private picnic or dinner to be enjoyed at one of many breathtaking locations around the island.
