Remarkable beauty surrounds the island archipelago of Kadavu and is experienced at first glance upon entering the Vunisea air or sea port. Upon your landing or docking, you will be greeted by our friendly Papageno Eco-Resort staff and taken on your first scenic adventure by boat down the pristine and calm coastline of north Kadavu. The rest of our loving staff awaits your arrival on the shores of Papageno to sing Bula Maleya, their welcome song, as you take the first steps into your extraordinary getaway.
There are so many ways to enjoy the beauty of Kadavu at Papageno. With over 350 acres of property including a waterfall, world-class diving, a lively organic farm, and plenty of space to make as you wish, our resort is the perfect hosting grounds for retreats, weddings, or private business meetings. Families and backpackers alike may also relish in our unique and intimate setting. Once you arrive at Papageno, you will quickly realize that you have gone back in time. Roads, cars and city lights are non-existent. All travel is by boat where you may very well find yourself sharing the ride with the local spinner dolphins, turtles, or pilot whales. This is a place where simplicity takes over and the pure essence of life shines.
Just in our close vicinity, you may find yourself on a kayak, or stand-up-paddle board away to a secluded island or private white sandy beach, snorkeling or scuba-diving the vibrant reef out in front of our property, harvesting coconuts and learning the coconut oil production process in our back yard or even taking a dip into one of the many amazing waterfalls around the area. We also can arrange for unique, Fijian cultural ventures and village visits, scuba diving shipwrecks or the Great Astrolabe Reef, or even snorkeling amongst the humble, giant manta rays.
